Gold languishes in summertime trading

The gold market has fallen victim to sideways and choppy summertime trading conditions. The bulls and bears are struggling for control, with neither gaining much ground. See the support and resistance lines on the chart. The direction in which gold prices break out of that trading range is very likely to be the direction of the next significant trending price move.
